The City of Benton would like to remind everyone of the Planning Workshop set for tomorrow morning starting at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall. The meeting is meant to discuss current and future ideas and plans for the City. The public is encouraged to come, listen and give their input! A copy of the agenda is listed below. Blue Ridge Tractor will host an “open house” this Saturday, April 28th from 10am to 3pm. A special presentation and introductions will be held at noon and the public is invited. There will be door prizes awarded throughout the day. Jake and Alex Gibbs, general managers, will give tours of their new facility and the product lines they offer.

Republic Services will be holding their bi-annual “Curb-side Clean-up” Monday, April 23rd through Thursday, April 26th. A “Curb-side Clean-up” means, Republic will pick-up your bulk items without scheduling an appointment. There are rules for the pick-up, so please check the guideline provided to make sure you’re following instructions to ensure your items get picked-up. Your pick-up will occur on your regular trash day. The clean-up does include people whose trash is picked up on Fridays.
